Your mental health might not be top of mind right now. Maybe you already have the tools and healthy habits to deal with whatever life may throw at you. Or it’s possible that you won’t think about “mental health” until you find yourself in a difficult situation and realize you need to start taking better care of yourself.
Through regular self-care and mental health self check-ins to assess how you’re doing, you may be able to prevent challenges from turning into crises. Now is the time to reimagine how you think about and take care of your mental health.
Maybe something recently happened that made you realize your mental health is not as strong as you thought. Or you’re feeling stressed out, anxious or depressed. It’s time to reimagine what your life could look like if you took action.
You might be feeling like you’re not quite ready to make changes to your lifestyle or to seek professional support. Know that you’re not alone — lots of people are uncertain at the beginning but end up glad they made a change. Regular self-care, social support and therapy can all make a big difference in your level of mental health and help you feel better.

Good for you! You reimagined your mental health and have been following through with real action. You’ve probably seen how much of a difference taking care of yourself can make in your overall well-being. Reflect on what’s working and track how you’re doing. Use your successes to help motivate you to continue.
You can use your mental health momentum to help others as well. Check in on how the people around you are doing, and support them in taking action too.
Your heart is in the right place, but it can be hard to be consistent in sticking with the mental health actions you want to be doing. Life just gets in the way sometimes.

Maybe changing things up with different types of self-care activities, getting support from people you know, or switching to a therapist that uses a different approach would help.
