Can you believe May's around the corner? For some of us that means going out more and feeling some pressure to drink.

So let’s talk about alcohol use and misuse. (April is Alcohol Awareness Month.) If you’re going somewhere with people urging you to drink, what’s a reply you can have ready as you reach for a delicious *non-alcoholic* drink?

And for more ways to unwind that don't involve drinking, check out our pick-me-ups at the link in bio.

A great counselor can make the days easier to get through. They can help you manage tough times and give you hope.

April is National Counseling Awareness Month ☀️ Check in with yourself — do you need to talk to someone? You can talk to a trained professional counselor one on one or in a supportive group, in person or virtually. You can also chat online or use text messaging!

Many of these options are free. To find what might work for you, download our resource at the link in bio.

Today, April 4, is the Day of (No) Silence — when 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their allies act out and make noise for queer visibility, equity, and safety. It was started in the 1990s by @glsen (pronounced “glisten”) and was originally called the Day of Silence.

Do what you feel safe doing. Maybe it’s sharing posts and stories on social media, making food with friends, going to an event, or doing something in your home or your room that joyfully reflects who you are 🌈

This World Bipolar Day (March 30) let’s shed light on the diverse experiences of people with bipolar disorder. Public figures like Mariah Carey, Demi Lovato, and the late Carrie Fisher have talked about their battles with it.

There are vibrant communities in person and online — including @intlbipolar — where people with bipolar disorder find support and talk about everyday ways (like dawn simulators) to get relief.

Sleep and rest are essential for our well-being 🌙 Not only do they help us feel good, but they also support our ability to manage stress.

Making changes can be tough, but since today (March 15) is World Sleep Day, why not take a small step and go to bed just 15 minutes earlier tonight? 🥰😴

Things that happened in our childhoods — both positive and negative — can have lasting effects on our lives, even in adulthood. They don’t define us, but they can make an impact.

For many people (3 out of 5 Californians) this includes ACEs, or Adverse Childhood Experiences. ACEs are potentially stressful or traumatic events that can happen to us before we turn 18. They can lead to what’s known as toxic stress, which can impact our physical and mental health, and relationships.

We created a new resource about ACEs, dedicated to our Latino/Latine/Hispanic communities. Download it and learn more about community resources, free and confidential screenings, and how to heal at the link in bio.
