We're more than halfway through Black History Month, but our mission to heal our mental health continues every day — 24/7/365.

This includes talking about ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences). ACEs are potentially stressful or traumatic events that can happen to us before we turn 18. They can lead to what’s known as toxic stress, which can impact physical and mental health, and relationships.

If you think you might have experienced ACEs, you can learn about your ACEs score, how to heal, and how to help the next generation. Download it at the link in bio.

Growing up, did you — or someone you care about — make it through extremely stressful situations or experiences? Some of these experiences are called ACEs, which stands for Adverse Childhood Experiences.

ACEs are stressful or potentially traumatic things that happened to us before we turned 18, including abuse, neglect, and parental substance use disorder.

They can lead to toxic stress, which can impact your mental and physical health, work, school, and relationships into adulthood.

The good news is, you can move forward from ACEs and toxic stress, and there are easy, no-cost things you can do to heal. You can even start them today.

Learn more about ACEs and how to heal at the link in bio.

It’s no coincidence that January is National Mental Wellness Month 🌬️ A lot of us are dealing with holiday bills, work backlogs, short days, and more.

Nurturing your mental well-being can help you face these challenges. Try:

🥘 eating nourishing food
🚶🏾‍♂️ moving your body
💤 going to bed 15 minutes earlier

These steps can reduce your stress and keep you centered this winter.
